DSR-SENATOR IS RENAMED SENATOR LINES
DSR-Senator Lines, the shipping line based in Bremen, Germany, has been renamed Senator Lines.
The company name included the initials “DSR” following the consolidation of the container shipping activities of the former East German shipping group Deutsche Seereederei Rostock and of the West German carrier Senator Linie.
DSR also owned 10 percent of DSR-Senator, a shareholding that was sold to F. Laeisz at the end of 1999.
Senator Lines has registered the new company name. It said that the change of name has no effect on the legal entity of the company nor on current contracts and agreements.
Hanjin Shipping, of South Korea, owns 80 percent of Senator Lines and Bremer Investitions-Gesellschaft owns the other 10 percent.
