Dunavant establishes logistics leasing entity

The Memphis, Tenn.-based logistics company formed a new division, Dunavant Logistics Leasing Group, providing equipment throughout the Continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean.

The Memphis, Tenn.-based logistics company Dunavant Enterprises has established Dunavant Logistics Leasing Group, LLC (DLLG).
The new division was established to provide customers with a full-service solution, along with allowing customers to address the industry-wide issue of required maintenance on the logistics industry’s fleet of aging chassis, which impact on-time delivery, service and safety in a negative way, Dunavant said.
“Dunavant’s formalized leasing entity resulted from growing customer demand, as well as our desire to continue to offer a comprehensive and coordinated operation,” Dunavant Chief Operating Officer Richard McDuffie said. “Our customers specifically requested chassis and trailer offerings in conjunction with our warehousing, trucking, drayage, and global logistics management services.”
Based out of La Porte, Texas, DLLG directly leases all types of transportation equipment, including container chassis, specialty type chassis and dry van trailers.
Equipment is available in the Continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean.
Equipment specifications can include but are not excluded to 23.5’ SL Tandem, 40’ GN Tandem, 40’ GN Lightweight, 20’/40’ Tri-Axle, 20’/40’ Wide Spreads, 48’ IANS, 83’ IANS and specialized hauling equipment.
Carlos Rodriguez, who will lead the DLLG entity as Director of Business Development/Equipment Leasing, has over 30 years of experience in the transportation business. Stacie Garcia will be DLLG’s Equipment Leasing Manager. Garcia holds three years of experience in the chassis business and over 15 years in the transportation industry.
