Dunavant Logistics has added a Memphis, Tenn. drayage terminal and warehouse, as well as a warehouse in the Houston, Texas area.
“Offering additional transportation and warehousing services in Memphis creates a complete turn-key solution. We now can simultaneously acquire new business while providing more services to our existing customer base,” Richard McDuffie, the logistics services provider’s chief operations officer, said in a statement.
The Memphis container drayage terminal, which will be managed by 20-year industry veteran Shane Rodgers, joins Dunavant’s 10 other Southeast and Midwest terminals.
In partnership with MLGroup, Dunavant has also added another 100,000 square feet of Memphis warehouse space, which includes 12 dock doors and access to rail ramps, highways and the Memphis International Airport. The warehouse provides cross-dock services for a growing flooring and products retailer, along with order fulfillment services for a consumer outdoors goods company, Dunavant said.
In addition, Dunavant has added a 185,000-square-foot warehouse in Pasadena, Texas to expand its presence in the Houston market.
