ECONOCARIBE EXPANDS LCL BUSINESS FROM ATLANTA
Econocaribe Consolidators has increased its less-than-containerload service from Atlanta to Miami to twice weekly.
The Miami-based non-vessel-operating common carrier uses Atlanta as a hub to consolidate cargo from the Southeast region. From Atlanta, the company moves cargo to its outbound warehouses for re-consolidation and export. Econocaribe provides its customers automatic notification of cargo arrival and track-and-trace capability.
“The forwarders asked us to provide a more flexible service and we responded with a Monday cut-off in order to make mid-week sailings from Miami,” Eric Holbik, sales executive for Econocaribe in Atlanta.
Econocaribe also has weekly cut-offs from Atlanta to Charleston, S.C., for its weekly consolidation service to Spain, the Mediterranean and the Mideast.
