Eimskip has dropped a call at Halmstad, Sweden on its intra-Europe Blue Line service.
The Oct. 1 sailing of the Godafoss from Reykjavik, Iceland, was the last voyage to call the Swedish port, based on Eimskip’s online service schedule.
The revised port rotation of the Blue Line is now Reykjavik, Iceland; Reydarfjordur, Iceland; Thorshavn, Faroe Islands; Rotterdam, Netherlands; Hamburg, Germany; Fredrikstad, Norway; Aarhus, Denmark; Thorshavn, Faroe Islands; Reykjavik, Iceland; and Grundartangi, Iceland.
Halmstad was previously called between Fredrikstad and Aarhus.
According to Ocean carrier schedule and capacity database BlueWater Reporting, the Blue Line operates with two vessels with an average capacity of 1,457 TEUs.
Although Eimskip dropped the Halmstad call from its Blue Line service, the Swedish port has been added to the carrier’s Gray Line loop, which now calls the Faroe Islands, Scotland, Denmark, Poland and Sweden.
