Eimskip expands Gray Line loop

The Icelandic liner carrier will add calls in Denmark, Sweden and Poland to its Gray Line loop, which currently operates between the Faroe Islands and Scotland.

   Icelandic liner carrier Eimskip will adjust its Gray Line loop, which currently operates between the Faroe Islands and Scotland, to include calls in Denmark, Sweden and Poland.
   Effective Oct. 12 with the sailing of the Lómur from Runavik, Faroe Islands, the loop’s new rotation will be Runavik, Faroe Islands; Scrabster, Scotland; Thorshavn, Faroe Islands; Aarhus, Denmark; Swinoujscie, Poland; Halmstad, Sweden; Thorshavn, Faroe Islands; and Runavik, Faroe Islands, according to Eimskip’s online service schedules.
   It currently appears the Swinoujscie call will be served on a fortnightly basis.
   In addition to the Lómur, the Blikur will also operate on the Gray Line.
   According to ocean carrier schedule and capacity database BlueWater Reporting, the Gray Line’s current rotation is Tvoroyri, Faroe Islands; Runavik, Faroe Islands; Scrabster, Scotland; Runavik, Faroe Islands; and Tvoroyri, Faroe Islands. At present, the service operates with one vessel, the 505-TEU Ruby.
   In addition to the Gray Line, Eimskip operates four other loops in the North Atlantic: the Blue Line, the Green Line, the Orange Line and the Yellow Line.
