ELITE LAUNCHES TWO CHINESE FACILITIES

Elite International Transportation, a Houston-based provider of logistics services for the chemical, petrochemical and food industries, said it has opened two logistics and warehouse facilities in China.

In Shanghai, a 400,000-square-foot distribution center will serve as Elite’s main office in China. In Tianjin, a 300,000-square-foot facility will offer warehousing, transportation, customs clearance, and redistribution services. Both locations can handle hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals.

“We have undergone the complex and time-consuming process of obtaining local licensing through the Ministry of Trade and Economic Cooperation, allowing us to conduct business in the local markets in China,” said Jay Lee, managing director of Elite’s operations in Asia.

“We also offer both bonded and non-bonded warehousing logistics services, giving our customers the opportunity for tax savings on products they import into China,” Lee said.

Elite also has Asian offices in Hong Kong, Xiamen, Dalian, Ningbo, Qingdao and Guangzhou, China; Singapore; Taipei and Kaohsiung, Taiwan; Port Klang and Kuantan, Malaysia; Jakarta and Medan, Indonesia; Bangkok, Thailand; and Tokyo.
