EMERY OPENS LOGISTICS CENTER IN AMSTERDAM
Emery Worldwide, the air freight forwarding subsidiary of CNF Transportation, has opened a freight and logistics center in Amsterdam.
The “SuperCentre” will serve as an air, ocean and express freight processing center for the northern Netherlands and as a multi-user, multi-purpose logistics facility, Emery said.
The 8,000-square-meter center is located at Amsterdam’s new dedicated airport freight area at Schiphol East.
Emery said that it plans to open similar combined freight and logistics facilities in other locations throughout Europe.
The setting up of combined freight and logistics centers in Europe follows a model established when Emery opened a freight and logistics center in Miami in 1997.
