Enterprise Florida names new COO
Enterprise Florida, the state's public/private partnership that promotes Florida commerce, has named Louis Laubscher chief operating officer, a newly created position that replaces the position of chief financial officer in the agency's management structure.
Laubscher replaces Howard Haug, who held the CFO title and who is leaving to become CFO of HealthFair USA in Winter Park, Fla.
Laubscher will have oversight of Enterprise Florida's contract compliance, accounting, capital development, human resources and data processing functions. He has been with Enterprise Florida since 2001, when he was named senior director of capital development/programs. He came to Enterprise Florida from the banking industry, having held management positions at several Florida banks.
'Louis has served Enterprise Florida very well in developing and executing corporate goals with tremendous success,' said John Adams Jr., Enterprise Florida president and chief executive officer. 'Even more, he has been instrumental to our building strong, mutually beneficial partnership with our stakeholders.'
