ERICSSON IMPLEMENTS SUPPLY CHAIN SOFTWARE
Ericsson, the mobile phone manufacturer, is implementing a supply chain software for its consumer segment.
Ericsson intends to implement the e-business supply chain optimization software, provided by i2 Technologies, globally. Initial installations will be at the Carlton, U.K., and Kumla, Sweden, facilities.
The software will provide Ericsson with enhanced visibility and decision-making capabilities to drive improved demand forecasting and production planning, i2 said.
The i2 system will be integrated with Ericsson Consumer Segment’s global SAP R/3 enterprise resource planning system.
