The new service will be established in partnership with Pacific Coast Express and Speedy Transport Group starting May 22.
Estes Express Lines is transitioning its Canada service into a direct less-than-truckload (LTL) route in order to pick up and deliver Canadian shipments on its own freight bill, the trucking company said Tuesday.
Estes will be partnering with Speedy Transport and Pacific Coast Express to enable the direct service. Freight will be shipped via pup and van trailers starting May 22 with no service interruptions.
The customer portal section of the Estes website will have the same functionality for Canada freight as it does for domestic U.S. freight, allowing U.S. customers to access all necessary documentation in one place. The partnership will also create a dedicated Estes account team in Canada for both international and domestic customers.
Richmond, Va.-based Estes specializes in LTL freight transportation to and from more than 200 U.S. terminals.
Pacific Coast Express is headquartered in western Canada, while Speedy Transport Group operates primarily in eastern Canada, allowing the new partnership full access to most of North America.
