Ethiopian Airlines Cargo is scheduled to resume operations at Brussels Airport March 26, offering direct flights to Dubai, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Guangzhou.
Ethiopian Airlines Cargo will resume operations at Brussels Airport later this month, following its withdrawal from the airport in November 2015, Brussels Airport said.
Starting March 26, Ethiopian Airlines Cargo will begin operating 12 direct, full cargo flights per week out of Brussels Airport. These daytime flights will be destined for Dubai, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Guangzhou.
Between January 2015 and October 2015, Ethiopian Airlines Cargo operated between four and six day-time flights per week from Brussels to Dubai, Shanghai and Hong Kong. These flights originally had a stopover in Addis Ababa, but the airline was granted traffic rights on a monthly basis to conduct these flights directly out of Brussels Airport.
A new bilateral agreement between Belgium and Ethiopia allows the airline to operate direct cargo flights from Belgium to Dubai, Shanghai and Hong Kong, while Guangzhou was already included under the previous bilateral agreement.
