EU ADOPTS CUSTOMS REGULATION ON IN-BOND TRANSIT SHIPMENTS
The European Council of Ministers and the European Parliament have jointly
adopted a regulation that modifies existing Customs rules concerning in-bond transit
shipments in the EU.
The regulation clarifies the responsibilities of operators and customs
administrations for goods in transit, for which a new legal regime will be defined.
After consulting the industry, implementation rules on transit goods will
be adopted by the end of the year, the European Commission said.
