EUROPE/MIDEAST CONFERENCE RAISES BUNKER CHARGE
Shipping lines of the Europe Middle East Rate Agreement will increase their bunker adjustment factor to $35 per TEU, effective Aug. 7.
The conference said that it will continue to monitor bunker costs and the level of the bunker charge.
Conference members are Andrew Weir Shipping (Ellerman), CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk Sealand, P&O Nedlloyd, Safmarine, Senator Lines and United Arab Shipping Co.
