Carrier Transicold said Monday that Evergreen is acquiring 3,000 containers equipped with its PrimeLINE refrigeration units.
Evergreen has been a Carrier Transicold customer since 2002. In addition to the integrated reefer containers, Carrier Transicold instructors train in the operation and repair programs of the containers at Evergreen’s Seafarer Training Center near Taipei.
Carrier Transicold, which is part of United Technologies, is one of four major manufacturers of refrigeration units used in containers. The others are Maersk Container Industries, the Thermo King unit of Ingersoll Rand and Daikin Reefer.
