Ocean carrier Evergreen Line has ended its slot charter agreement with COSCO and Hanjin on their joint weekly GME/AWT service connecting China with Panama and the United States Gulf Coast.
The last sailing departed Shanghai May 4 on the COSCO Piraeus.
The service operates with nine vessels, seven from COSCO and two from Hanjin, with an average capacity of 4,263 TEUs. The rotation of the GME/AWT remains Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Yantian, Cristobal, Houston and Shanghai.
According to ocean carrier schedule and capacity database BlueWater Reporting, Evergreen Line participates on two other services that call Cristobal from China, the NUE and NUE3. The carrier offers no other services that call Houston directly from China.
Evergreen Line, COSCO and Hanjin are members of the CKYHE Alliance, along with “K” Line and Yang Ming, cooperating on the major east-west trades.
