Evergreen group establishes Russian agency
The Taiwanese Evergreen group, in partnership with Russian company Overseas Cargo International, has established its own liner agency company in Russia.
The new agency, Global Marine Russia Ltd., will have its headquarters in St. Petersburg and a branch office in Moscow, with other offices in Russia to follow, the Evergreen Group said.
GMR will start operations Oct. 3, representing the interests in Russia of Evergreen Group subsidiaries Evergreen Marine, Hatsu Marine, and Lloyd Triestino. Previously the three lines were represented by Overseas Cargo International as subagents of Evergreen’s Finnish agent, Oy Loadmasters Ltd.
