EVERGREEN TO MOVE EUROPE HEADQUARTERS
Evergreen will move its European headquarters for both its marine and
airline businesses to London, from Hamburg, effective Jan. 1.
The move is expected to "reinforce Evergreen’s U.K. operations and
improve efficiency, said Slin Yeh, president of Evergreen U.K. Ltd.
German will remain an important part of Evergreens’ European market, the
company said. The ocean carrier said it plans to assign larger vessels to call at the port
of Hamburg, Europe’s second-largest container port.
