EWL EXPANDS NON-CONFERENCE EUROPE/CARIBBEAN SERVICE
Europe West Indies Lines is adding another two vessels to its current
four-ship non-conference service from northern Europe, the Caribbean and the North Coast
of South America.
The operator links northern Europe with a wide range of Caribbean Islands
and the full Surinam/Colombia range of North Coast South America.
Beginning next week, the two additional ships will provide a dedicated
fortnightly link to Port of Spain in Trinidad, Paramaribo in Surinam, Georgetown in
Guyana, and Guanta in Venezuela. This will enable the existing four ships to improve their
frequency to the rest of EWL’s former itinerary, from every 10 days previously to
every 8 days now.
All six ships will serve Port of Spain in Trinidad. As a result, this one
port will now have five EWL sailings each month.
EWL reports that it has been under pressure to expand capacity, with all
its westbound sailings being regularly overbooked.
