American Airlines Cargo appoints managing director, global and key accounts – cargo sales; USA Truck names vice president of safety and risk management; and Transnet National Ports Authority selects chief executive.
Fort Worth Texas-based American Airlines Cargo has appointed Lisa Oxentine managing director, global and key accounts – cargo sales, succeeding Roger Samways, who was promoted to vice president of the cargo sales division earlier this year. Oxentine joined American Airlines in 1987 and most recently, she led the customer recovery team in the customer experience department, managing 47 systemwide managers.
USA Truck, a Van Buren, Ark.-based motor carrier, named Allen Lowry vice president of safety and risk management. Lowry have over 25 years of safety, risk management and leadership experience in the transportation industry. He most recently served as vice president of safety, security, OS&D and risk management for Navajo Express, Inc.
Transnet National Ports Authority in South Africa has chosen Shulami Qalinge as its chief executive, succeeding Richard Vallihu, who has been appointed to group executive of operational readiness at Transnet Corporate Center. Qalinge joined Transnet 23 years ago as an engineering technician at Transnet Freight Rail, and has most recently served as Transnet’s group executive of strategy.
