Transportation management software provider Aljex Software has appointed Tim Bickmore to vice president of corporate strategy. He formerly served as president of DAT Solutions and before that was president of Getloaded.
The Institute of International Container Lessors has elected Simon Vernon, president and chief executive officer of Triton Container International Ltd., as its chairman for 2016. He succeeded Philip K. Brewer, president and CEO of Textainer Group Holdings Ltd., in this role. Keith Lovetro, president and CEO of TRAC Intermodal, was also elected first vice president; Victor Garcia, president and CEO of CAI International, as second vice president; and George Elkas, president of Flexi-Van Leasing, as treasurer. Joseph Kwok, CEO of SeaCube Container Leasing Ltd.; and William J. Shea Jr., chairman and CEO of Direct ChassisLink, were elected as executive committee members at large.
SOGET has named Gilles Paumier its president and chief executive officer and Muriel Folliot-Olivier as deputy CEO. Paumier succeeded Jacques Ritt, who will serve as an adviser to the president of the supervisory board of the company. Paumier joined the company in 1989 after nine years in the IT department at the Port Authority of Le Havre. He became deputy CEO at SOGET in 1997.
Hansa Heavy Lift has appointed Mark Preece as a senior advisory to help grow its offshore industry business. Preece, who is a 25-year industry veteran of the maritime and offshore industries, is currently a non-executive director at the Port of Tyne in the United Kingdom.
