The British International Freight Association named policy and compliance officer, while Hendry Marine Industries launched its new business development team.
The British International Freight Association (BIFA) named Pawel Jarza policy and compliance officer, with responsibility for issues concerning Customs. Jarza began his career in the industry 12 years ago when he joined Yamato Transport Europe. He then moved to Arcadia and Landmark Global UK Ltd, gaining experience in a traditional forwarding environment, as well as specializing in e-commerce logistics.
Hendry Marine Industries, Inc. launched its new business development team. Kristen Chittenden has been appointed director of business development, and Eric Smith has been named vice president and chief commercial officer.
Chittenden has served as associate general counsel for Hendry Marine for the past three years. Smith was previously chief commercial officer for Overseas Shipholding Group where he was responsible for business development, as well as the chartering and commercial operations of the company’s 24-vessel fleet.
