CMA CGM names chairman of the board; DB Cargo AG appoints chief executive officer; IAG Cargo announces three new executive team appointments; and the Hong Kong Shipowners Association elects new chairman, deputy chairman and vice chairmen.
CMA CGM’s board of directors has appointed current CEO Rodolphe Saadé to serve as both chairman of the board and chief executive officer of the CMA CGM Group, and his father, Jacques Saadé, as founder-chairman.
DB Cargo AG, the freight rail operation of Germany’s Deutsche Bahn, has appointed Dr. Roland Bosch to serve as chief executive officer, effective Dec. 1. Bosch is succeeding Dr. Jürgen Wilder, who chose to leave DB Cargo in late October by mutual agreement with the company.
Bosch began his career at the Boston Consulting Group in 1997, and in 2002, he joined DaimlerChrysler in Stuttgart as the head of strategy before transferring to Beijing in 2005 as CFO for Northeast Asia. In October 2010, he was appointed CFO of Deutsche Bahn subsidiary DB Netz AG. Since 2013, he has served as the board member for production at DB Netz.
IAG Cargo has named commercial director David Shepherd to serve in the newly created role of director of digital ventures. The airfreight carrier has also welcomed the new director of sales, marketing and product, Camilo Garcia, to the IAG Cargo executive team. In addition, IAG Cargo has appointed Lynn McClelland to serve in the newly created director of worldwide operations role.
These changes at IAG Cargo will take effect Dec. 1.
The Hong Kong Shipowners Association has elected Jack Hsu of Oak Maritime Inc. Ltd to serve as chairman of the association, succeeding Sabrina Chao, who stepped down after completing her two-year term as chairman.
Bjorn Hojgaard of Anglo-Eastern Univan Group was elected to serve as deputy chairman, succeeding Hsu.
Zhu Jianhui of COSCO Shipping (Hong Kong) Co Ltd, Su Xingang of China Merchants Group Ltd, and Jon Zinke of Keesal, Young & Logan were elected as the vice chairmen.
