Don Colleran will take the helm of FedEx Express as president and chief executive officer effective Saturday.
Colleran (pictured above), a nearly 30-year FedEx employee, currently is the executive vice president and chief sales officer for FedEx Corp. He will be succeeded in that role by Jill Brannon, a FedEx veteran of more than three decades.
Raj Subramaniam, previously the FedEx Express president and CEO, became the FedEx Corp. president and COO on March 1.
Effective Tuesday, Hiroaki Sakashita became the senior executive vice president and executive director of ClassNK.
His career began at Japan’s Ministry of Transport in 1980. Sakashita became director-general of the Maritime Bureau in 2015 and deputy minister for technical affairs of the Minister’s Secretariat in 2016. He joined ClassNK last year as an executive consultant.
Transflo, a provider of mobile workflow, telematics and business process automation solutions to the transportation industry, has hired Parker McCrary as vice president of supply chain solutions.
McCrary is responsible for the planning, organization and implementation of sales and business strategies for the company’s third-party logistics and freight brokerage platforms, including Transflo Velocity+.
McCrary, who previously worked for CSX and UPS, has three decades of experience in logistics and supply chain management.
OmniTRAX Inc., a privately held transportation service company and an affiliate of The Broe Group, announced that OmniTRAX Energy Solutions (OES) has promoted Scott Remington to vice president of OES terminal business development and special projects.
Remington joined the OmniTRAX Energy Solutions team in April 2017 as senior director of operations after assisting with the acquisition of the Terracor assets in 2016. He joined OmniTRAX in 2010.
Symphony RetailAI, a global provider of artificial intelligence-enabled decision platforms, solutions and customer-centric insights designed to drive growth for retailers and manufacturers of consumer goods, announced Wednesday that Kevin Sterneckert has joined the company as chief marketing officer.
Sterneckert most recently served as Global VP of innovation strategies and marketing for JDA. He has held executive marketing positions with several other leading retail technology providers, including stints as EVP of marketing for Predictix and chief marketing officer for OrderDynamics.
Wallenius Wilhelmsen Solutions has promoted Michael Rye to the role of senior vice president of operations for Keen Transport.
Rye has been with WW Solutions, a provider of logistics solutions to manufacturers of cars, trucks and heavy equipment, for 15 years. Keen Transport operates high and heavy equipment processing centers and a specialty trucking entity in the United States.
Grote Industries has hired John May as national fleet sales manager.
He brings with him more than 30 years of maintenance experience, beginning in 1984 with Ryder Truck Leasing. Most recently Sterneckert was the Southeast wheel end manager for Stemco Industries. He also has worked for Kenan Transport/SPG Division, Stevens Tanker Division, PLM Trailer Leasing and Transport Industries.
