Executive Moves: COSCO Pacific and “K” Line

COSCO Pacific Ltd. re-designates executive director and vice chairman, while “K” Line nominates managing executive director, outside directors, and supervisory board members

   COSCO Pacific Ltd., the terminal operator arm of China COSCO Holdings, has re-designated Zhang Wei executive director and vice chairman. He succeeds Qui Jinguang, who has resigned from this position. Fang Meng has also been named as an executive director.

   “K” Line has nominated Yukikazu Myochin as managing executive officer. He has spent years working in management roles with companies involving containerships, corporate planning, and public relations. The company also nominated Akira Okabe, a former Toyota Motor Corp. executive, and Seiichi Tanaka, formerly of Mitsui & Co., Ltd., as outside directors. In addition, “K” Line nominated Kozue Shiga, an attorney, and Harusato Nihei of Mizuho Bank Ltd., as audit and supervisory board members. “K” Line plans to approve the nominations at its general meeting of shareholders on June 24.
