Executive Moves: CSIS, IICL, Suddath Cos., and BASS

CSIS appoints Scholl chair; IICL elects 2018 board leadership; Suddath Cos. names marketing vice president; and BASS picks North American sales vice president.

   The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) appointed William A. Reinsch its Scholl chair in international business. He succeeds Scott Miller, who will become a senior adviser for the Abshire-Inamori Leadership Academy at CSIS. Reinsch comes to CSIS from the Stimson Center and continues to serve as a senior adviser to Kelley Drye & Warren. Prior to that, he served 15 years as president of the National Foreign Trade Council and was a former undersecretary for export administration at the U.S. Department of Commerce.

    The Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL) elected Katherine McCabe, president of Beacon Intermodal Leasing, to chairperson for 2018. She succeeds Keith Lovetro, president and CEO of TRAC Intermodal. The IICL board also elected Marco Poggio, managing director of TOUAX Global Container Solutions, as first vice president; Robert Sappio, CEO of SeaCube Container Leasing Ltd., as second vice president; and William J. Shea Jr., chairman and CEO of Direct ChassisLink, as treasurer.

   Suddath Cos. named Silvio Cavaceppi vice president for marketing and communications. Cavaceppi joins the company after heading marketing and business development for a Jacksonville, Fla.-based energy company and prior to that served in various management roles over 15 years with Lexmark International. 

   Norwegian ship fleet management systems provider BASS appointed Fernando Lehrer vice president of sales for the North American market. He previously served as vice president of product development for ABS Nautical Systems and president of London Offshore Consultants.
