Dachser prepares way for new chief operations officer, while the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad names business development director, and ECU Worldwide relocates two regional sales managers and appoints to others to its USA management team.
Jochen Mueller will take over as Dachser’s chief operations officer for air and sea logistics, effective Jan. 1, 2018. He succeeds Thomas Reuter, who will remain on the company’s executive board as head of air and sea logistics until his retirement on Dec. 31, 2017. Mueller’s transition will begin with the development of various projects for Dachser, starting Oct. 1. He previously served on the executive board of Schenker Deutschland AG, where he was in charge of air freight and sales for Central Europe.
In addition, Thomas Krueger has been recently appointed managing director of Dachser’s air and sea logistics for Europe, the Middle East and Africa region. He succeeded Ruediger Klug, who joined Dachser in 2009 and retired on June 30.
According to Progressive Railroading, the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad (NOPB) has named Jared Sleeth director of business development. He will manage the short-line railroad’s business with the Class I operators. He joined NOPB in 2015 as a trainmaster. Before that, he worked as a yard operations manager in Parsons, Kan. for Union Pacific.
ECU Worldwide, which is owned by Mumbai, India-based Allcargo Logistics, has relocated two regional sales managers and appointed two additional sales managers to its USA management team. Meidiana Dunn is moving from Atlanta to Los Angeles to manage the U.S. West Coast sales team, while Adriana Rego is relocating from Chicago to Miami to lead the Florida sales group. Ryan Horton has been promoted from the Chicago sales team to lead the Midwest group, while Jim Roycroft will be promoted to the regional sales manager in the Southeast.
