Schenker Inc. gains new U.S. CEO and XPO Logistics appoints chief transformation officer, while CEVA Logistics picks aerospace VP and GAC North America names regional commercial director for oil and gas.
DB Schenker has appointed Robert Walpole chief executive officer Schenker Inc. in the United States. Walpole has been with DB Schenker Logistics since January 2007, and most recently served as senior vice president of global logistics development, and prior to that was leader of the contract logistics business in Asia-Pacific.
XPO Logistics has named Ramon Genemaras to chief transformation officer. Prior to XPO, Genemaras served as chief operating officer for a $4.5 billion division of Johnson Controls, vice president of operational excellence for an $8 billion division of Tyco International; and senior vice president of global operations and supply chain for CHEP, a logistics company of the Brambles Group.
CEVA Logistics has appointed Alain Souto vice president of global contract logistics for the aerospace sector, based in Madrid, Spain. He joins CEVA from Kuehne + Nagel where he was most recently director of industry and aerospace logistics, and prior to that held management positions at Christian Salvesen and Hays Logistics.
GAC North America has appointed Carlos Arrieta regional commercial director for oil and gas, with a focus on South America. He joined GAC in 2010 when it started its oil and gas and logistics activities in the United States.
