DHL Global Forwarding appoints Singapore manager, while ICAO names new secretary general and ampCNG adds executives.
DHL Global Forwarding has appointed Stephen Ly as managing director for Singapore. He was formerly managing director for the company in the Philippines.
The Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) named Fang Liu as its new secretary general for a three-year term, starting Aug. 1. She succeeds Raymond Benjamin of France, who has held the position for two consecutive terms since 2009. She also becomes the first woman to be appointed to the global position heading the United Nations specialized agency for civil aviation, and only the second ICAO Secretary General from an Asia Pacific State.
Liu has held a number of positions in ICAO since joining the organization in 2007. Between 1987 and 2007, she was legal counsel, deputy director, director and deputy director general in the Department of International Affairs and Cooperation of the Civil Aviation Administration of China.
ampCNG, a company that builds compressed natural gas fueling stations for truck fleets, said Chief Financial Officer Saad Qais, Senior Vice President of Business Development Grant Zimmerman, and Real Estate Project Manager Sam Bramfeld have joined the company.
