Executive moves: Emirates SkyCargo, Troy Container Line and DHL

Emirates SkyCargo makes senior U.S. appointments, while Troy Container Line appoints VP of FCL and DHL names Asia-Pacific CEO.

   Ed Chism, Emirates SkyCargo’s longtime manager in the United States, has retired after 47 years in the air cargo industry. He started as an independent general sales agent representing Emirates in 1993, where he led the Boeing 747 freighter operations to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport in 2000. He joined SkyCargo in his most recent role in 2004.
   With Chism’s departure, Emirates has appointed Edward O’Neill as regional cargo manager for the eastern United States and Siegfried Meyer as regional cargo manager for the western United States. O’Neill has been with SkyCargo for 11 years, while Meyer joined he airline seven years ago.

   Non-vessel-operating common carrier Troy Container Line has promoted Derrick J. Magee to vice president of its full-containerload department. He joined the NVO in 2005 and most recently served as assistant vice president.

   DHL Express has named Ken Lee its new chief executive officer for Asia-Pacific. He succeeds Jerry Hsu , who is retiring after nearly 15 years with DHL Express. Lee, an 18-year DHL veteran, most recently served as director of the company’s operations in Hong Kong and Macau and executive vice president of commercial in Asia-Pacific.
