Executive Moves: G&W, Port Authority of NY/NJ and Roadrunner

Genesee & Wyoming Australia appoints CEO, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s board of commissioners selects a new vice chairman for the port authority, and Roadrunner Transportation Systems adds two members to its board of directors.

   Genesee & Wyoming Australia Pty Ltd appointed Luke Anderson as chief executive officer, effective Oct. 2. Anderson was previously chief financial officer of Australian mining company OZ Minerals Ltd. since 2015, and prior to that, was president and CEO of Unimin Corp., a North American non-metallic industrial minerals producer. Anderson succeeds David Brown, G&W’s chief operating officer, who has served as interim GWA managing director since December 2016.

   The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s board of commissioners chose Jeffrey Lynford to be the port authority’s new vice chairman. Lynford was first appointed to the board in June 2011, and was reappointed two years later. Lynford is president and CEO of not-for-profit organization Educational Housing Services, Inc. Co-founder of the Wellsford group of public and private real-estate companies, Lynford served as chairman of three exchange-listed corporations during his career on Wall Street and held senior investment banking positions. He was also a trustee/director on the boards of S.E.C. reporting corporations, mutual funds and non-profit organizations.

   Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Inc. has added Scott Dobak and Ralph “Cody” Kittle to its board of directors. Dobak is CEO of Montreal-based Dicom Transportation Group, a provider of express, freight and logistics services to businesses in the United States and Canada. Kittle is an analyst at New York-based Elliot Management Corp., a multi-strategy investment fund.
