Hyundai Merchant Marine appoints chief of container business office and chief of HMM America; and the North American Council for Freight Efficiency names new chairman.
Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM), South Korea’s largest ocean carrier, named Sooho Kim to serve as a chief of container business office, effective today. Sooho had previously been appointed to serve as the chief of HMM America in 2016.
Jeongbum Kim, who previously served as a chief of container business office, will now be in charge of HMM America.
The North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE), a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the freight efficiency of North American goods movement, has appointed Rob Reich to serve as chairman. Reich, who is senior vice president of equipment, maintenance and driver development at Schneider, is succeeding Scott Perry, Nikola Motor Company’s newly announced chief operating officer, in the role as chairman of the NACFE.
Reich began his career at Schneider in 1992 after serving as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
