J.B. Hunt Transport Services has named a new CIO, while Smartrac appoints VP of systems and solutions.
J.B. Hunt Transport Services has appointed Stuart Scott as chief information officer, effective Jan. 1. He takes over this position from Kay Lewis who will retire at the end of the year. Prior to joing J.B. Hunt, Scott held CIO roles at Tempur-Sealy International, Microsoft and various General Electric businesses. Lewis has been with J.B. Hunt since 1988, starting out as a programming specialist, and is credited with helping to build and expand the nationwide trucking company’s IT department.
Smartrac has hired Gerd Wolfram as senior vice president of systems and solutions. Prior to joining the RFID firm, Wolfram worked as a senior executive at Advanced Technologies and Technology Innovation, and managing director for Metro Group, a Dusseldorf, Germany-based retailer.
