The Jacksonville Port Authority selects chief executive officer and Heartland Rail names business development director.
The Jacksonville Port Authority’s board of directors selected Eric Green as the port authority’s next chief executive officer. Green has been filling in as interim CEO at the North Florida port since former CEO, Brian Taylor, stepped down in March. The port authority’s board voted 7-0 on Monday to select Green, a JAXPORT spokesperson confirmed Monday. Prior to being named interim CEO in March, Green served as the port authority’s senior director of government and external affairs. Green joined the port authority in 2005 as director of government relations and was named a senior director the following year.
Heartland Rail, which owns, leases, and manages railcars, has named Mike Keasling business development director. Keasling has over 30 years of experience in the railcar finance and leasing industry, and has spent much of his career at The CIT Group as senior vice president of rail leasing. He has also worked with Vertex Railcar Corp., American Railcar Leasing and GATX.
