Executive moves: “K” Line, Cardinal Logistics Management Corp. and Swissport International

Senior executive appointments were made at “K” Line, Cardinal Logistics and Swissport.

   “K” Line has promoted Jiro Asakura, president and chief executive officer, to chairman, effective April 1. He will be succeeded as president and CEO by Eizo Murakami, currently vice president/executive officer. 

   Cardinal Logistics Management Corp. has appointed Tom White to executive chairman. He succeeded Brian McKee, who has served as interim chairman following the departure of John Tague in November 2014. McKee will continue to serve as a board member. White has held senior executive positions at CEVA Logistics, Hub Group, and Quality Distribution.

   Swissport International has named Dirk Schmitt as its new chief executive officer for cargo services in Germany and Austria. He replaced Peter Kohl, who has taken on new responsibilities within Swissport. Schmitt joined Swissport from Luxair Cargo.
