Executive Moves: Kewill, Polaris Transportation and C.H. Robinson

Kewill and Polaris Transportation make chief executive changes, while C.H. Robinson appoints Europe, Asia trade route development directors.

   Kewill, a supply chain software provider, has named Doug Braun chief executive officer. He succeeds Bob Farrell, who will support the transition through December. In addition, the company appointed Jim Hoefflin to president and chief operating officer. Hoefflin previously served as CEO of Empower Software Solutions. Both Braun and Hoefflin spent more than a decade together at RedPrairie in senior management roles.

   Oliver Volk has been appointed director of European development for Asia global forwarding unit at C.H. Robinson. Prior to his appointment, Volk was general manager of the air Asia-Pacifc trade lane at CEVA Logistics in China. C.H. Robinson also named Rajendra Tamil route development manager for Asia in its Europe global forwarding unit. Tamil most recently served as sales manager in France for FedEx Trade Networks.

   Jon Saunders, vice president of finance at Polaris Transportation, has taken on the dual role of chief executive officer for Polaris Global Logistics. He joined the company earlier this year from the banking industry.
