Maersk Container Industry selects new chief executive officer; Glander International Bunkering appoints managing director of its Norway office; and Gebrüder Weiss names country manager, air and sea Germany.
Container manufacturer Maersk Container Industry selected Sean Fitzgerald to serve as chief executive officer effective Jan. 1, 2018. Fitzgerald has over 20 years of management, manufacturing, product management and marketing experience. Since 2014, Fitzgerald has served as president at Joy Global China, part of the Japanese manufacturing company Komatsu Mining Corp., and prior to that, he was regional vice president of Joy Mining Machinery, responsible for 13 plants in the Americas. In addition, he has held executive positions over the course of nearly 10 years at General Electric.
Bunker trading and brokering firm Glander International Bunkering has promoted Ole Morten Rismyhr to managing director of its Norway office. Rismyhr formerly served as international sales manager for the group’s Norwegian division and has been with the company since 2002. Within the company’s Norway office, Inge Walmestad and Petter Christian Bakke have both been promoted from bunker trader to senior bunker trader.
Transport and logistics company Gebrüder Weiss has appointed Andreas Kayser to serve as country manager, air and sea Germany. Kayser has many years of logistics experience in the air and sea area, previously holding various management positions in global active logistics companies. Prior to joining Gebrüder Weiss, he was in charge at an international logistics service provider as general manager Germany.
