MatchBack Systems names VP of commercial development, while Florida Department of Transportation appoints a state freight and transportation administrator and Port Metro Vancouver adds new board member.
MatchBack Systems has named James Nichols vice president of commercial development. He previously held a similar position in the Northeast region for Knight Intermodal and has worked for Matson Integrated Logistics, Hanjin Logistics and MOL.
The Florida Department of Transportation has appointed Brad Swanson as state freight and logistics administrator. He recently served as vice president of corporate and strategic partnerships for the Florida Chamber of Commerce, where he worked to support the state’s intermodal, infrastructure and economic development programs.
He will be responsible for directing state programs for seaports and waterways, rail, motor carriers, transit, aviation, spaceports and freight.
Provincial and federal officials have appointed Carol Kerfoot to the Port Metro Vancouver board of directors for a term which expires Sept. 25, 2016. She is a partner at Kornfeld LLP in Vancouver.
