Executive Moves: MOL (America) and Port of Houston Authority

MOL (America) names new vice president of area operations, while the Port of Houston Authority announces reappointment of commissioner.

   MOL (America) has hired Ronnie Armstrong as vice president of area operations, which entails vessel and equipment management, intermodal services, contract management, and cost control and planning groups for the United States and Canada and has operational accountability for the liner carrier in Mexico and the Caribbean. He joins MOL with 20 years of industry experience and has served on the board of the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA), Ocean Carrier Equipment Management Association (OCEMA), and Pacific Merchant Shipping Association (PMSA).

   Stephen H. DonCarlos was re-appointed by the Harris County Mayors and Councils Association to the port commission of the Port of Houston Authority. He has served on the commission since September 2013. In addition to being an attorney, he has been mayor of Baytown since May 2006.
