Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore appoints new chairman, while B&H Worldwide promotes managing director, Germany, ICAO names new president of its Air Navigation Commission, and ATA hires vice president of safety policy and connectivity.
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has appointed Niam Chiang Meng to the position of chairman, effective Dec. 16, 2016. The current deputy chairman of MPA, Niam succeeds Lucien Wong, who is stepping down from his post to assume the office of deputy attorney-general of the Republic of Singapore.
Niam has served as deputy chairman of MPA since July of 2016, following his retirement from the country’s Administrative Service after 33 years in various roles in the public sector.
Specialist aerospace logistics and warehousing provider B&H Worldwide has promoted Markus Homann to the position of managing director, Germany. He previously served as station manager and was responsible for opening the company’s first German office in Hamburg in April 2012.
The council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has named Commissioner Hajime Yoshimura to a one-year term as president of the ICAO Air Navigation Commission (ANC), the main technical body of the UN civil aviation organization, beginning Jan. 1, 2017.
Yoshimura has served as a commissioner of the ICAO ANC since March 2013 and was appointed first vice-president of the ANC in 2016.
The American Trucking Associations (ATA) has hired Michael Cammisa as vice president of safety policy and connectivity. Before joining ATA, Cammisa spent 16 years at the Association of Global Automakers, most recently as senior director of safety and connected vehicles.
