Panalpina’s chief operating officer and executive board member resigns; and MIQ Logistics appoints vice president, global business development.
Basel, Switzerland-based freight forwarder and third-party logistics provider Panalpina’s Chief Operating Officer and executive board member Andy Weber is resigning from the company at the end of the year. Weber joined the company back in 2015. The COO role will not be replaced.
MIQ Logistics, a global logistics company headquartered in Overland Park, Kan., has appointed Chris Capodanno to serve in the newly created position of vice president, global business development. Capodanno has more than 20 years of experience in air/ocean forwarding and global supply chain management. His global experience includes roles in sales leadership, ocean procurement, operational management and strategic development. Most recently, he served as a consultant in strategic development and logistics for the New York Shipping Exchange and Chanje Energy, and has also previously served as managing director at CMA CGM Logistics, commercial director for CEVA Logistics Asia Pacific, and in leadership roles with the NYK Group.
