The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey gains new executive director and board of commissioners chairman; Foss Maritime hires chief commercial officer, and ATA names executive director of the Intermodal Motor Carrier Conference.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has gained Rick Cotton as its new executive director and Kevin O’Toole as its new chairman of the board of commissioners.
Cotton has served as N.Y. Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s special counsel for interagency initiatives since January 2015. Cotton also previously spent 25 years at NBC Universal, where he spent 20 years as executive vice president and general counsel, and four years in London as president and managing director of CNBC Europe.
O’Toole is the managing partner of O’Toole Scrivo Fernandez Weiner Van Lieu, LLC and recently concluded a career in the New Jersey Legislature.
Seattle-based shipping company Foss Maritime has hired Will Roberts as chief commercial officer, a newly developed position at the company. Before joining Foss, Roberts served as senior vice president, customer and services-Americas, for global maritime systems and services provider Rolls-Royce.
American Trucking Associations (ATA), the country’s largest trade association for the trucking industry, named Tyler Rushforth as executive director of the Intermodal Motor Carrier Conference, who began this week in his new role. Rushforth joined ATA after spending over a decade on Capitol Hill, where he served as counsel to the Environment and Public Works Committee, and before that, as legislative advisor and counsel to former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.
