The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners approved the selection of Stacey Lewis as director of human resources services, effective July 1. Lewis joined the Port of Long Beach in 2008 and was appointed assistant director of human resources in January 2009. Prior to joining the port, Lewis was the president of a consulting firm that provided services to several local municipalities and non-profit organizations. She was also the civil service manager for the City of Torrance.
The Port of Corpus Christi Authority hired Kresten Cook as director of operations. Cook has worked at the Corpus Christi Army Depot, the world’s largest helicopter repair facility, as an industrial engineer, chief of business development, director of engineering services, and deputy to the commander.
The Port of Corpus Christi Authority also hired Kent Britton as financial controller. Britton’s experience ranges from trade and controller positions at Alcoa, director and vice president designations at Blackbaud, Inc., and chief financial officer at the Sherwin Alumina Company.
