The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners elects new board president, vice president, and secretary; MacroPoint hires chief financial officer; and Union Pacific appoints board member.
The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners elected Lou Anne Bynum as its new board president. Bynum has served as board vice president for the past two years, and was first appointed to the commission in May 2014. She is also executive vice president of College Advancement and Economic Development for Long Beach City College.
The board also elected Tracy Egoscue as its new vice president. Egoscue, a Long Beach-based environmental attorney, was appointed to the commission in September 2014.
In addition, the board appointed Lori Ann Guzmán as secretary. Guzmán has served as board president for the past two years.
Cleveland-based freight tracking software provider MacroPoint has hired Lou Schneeberger as its chief financial officer. Schneeberger most recently served as president and chief executive officer of Panther Premium Logistics. He began his career at Arthur Andersen, and has also served as a board member, consultant and/or chief financial officer of various large and small public and private companies.
Union Pacific Corp., an Omaha, Neb.-based Class I railway, has appointed Bhavesh “Bob” Patel to its board of directors today. Patel has worked for LyondellBasell Industries since March 2010, holding a variety of senior leadership roles at the company, and was named CEO and chairman of the management board of LyondellBasell in January 2015. Prior to joining LyondellBasell, he held multiple leadership positions at Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. He worked for Chevron Corp. and its affiliates for over 20 years.
