Executive Moves: Port of New Orleans, CP and ChassisFinder

Port of New Orleans names president and chief executive officer, while Canadian Pacific adds board member and ChassisFinder hires general manager.

   The board of commissioners of the Port of New Orleans has named Brandy D. Christian president and chief executive officer, effective Jan. 1, 2017, following a two-year stint as the port’s chief operating officer.
   Prior to her service as COO with the Port of New Orleans, Christian held leadership positions at the Port of San Diego for 14 years, most recently as vice president of strategy and business development.

   Canadian Pacific Railway (CP) has appointed Gordon Trafton to the company’s board of directors, effective Jan. 1, 2017.
   Trafton retired from his role as special advisor to the Canadian National (CN) leadership team in 2010 after a career in the railroad industry. He is currently chairman of the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder’s board of alumni and friends, and a board member for the nonprofit City Year in Denver.

   Intermodal asset utilization software provider ChassisFinder has hired Jason Anderson as general manager. A member of the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) and the Intermodal Association of Chicago, Anderson will be based in Burr Ridge, Ill. and will oversee daily operations, product development and marketing of ChassisFinder.com.
