The Port of Oakland’s board of port commissioners names board secretary; and Selandia Ship Management appoints chairman.
The Port of Oakland board of port commissioners named Daria Edgerly board secretary, succeeding John Betterton, who retired after two decades as the port’s board secretary. Edgerly had been serving as acting secretary of the board, and previously worked for the City of Oakland.
V. Group, a global marine and offshore vessel management and support services provider, announced that Bob Bishop has been appointed chairman of Selandia Ship Management, in addition to his current role in business development of the group. Selandia Ship Management, which became a part of V. Group in 2016, provides full technical management, new-building supervision, consulting and ship inspections/evaluations services.
