Executive Moves: Roadrunner, USA Truck, Crete Carrier and Port of Long Beach

Roadrunner names executive vice president, chief financial officer, USA Truck hires vice president, chief technology officer, Crete Carrier names president of Crete Carrier and Shaffer Trucking, and the Port of Long Beach gains deputy executive director.

Roadrunner Transportation Systems, USA Truck, Crete Carrier and the Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners announce corporate appointments.

   Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Inc. hired Terence R. Rogers as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Rogers previously served as chief financial officer for The Heico Companies, LLC for four years. He also has 17 years of experience in financial positions with Ryerson Inc.
   Roadrunner is also moving its corporate headquarters from Cudahy, Wis. to its existing office in Downers Grove, Ill., where its new executive management team will be located. Roadrunner will keep about 185 positions at the Cudahy location.

   USA Truck Inc. appointed Kim Littlejohn as vice president, chief technology officer. Littlejohn previously served as director of information technology for Interstate Distributor Co. She also served as IT director for Bishop, White, Marshall & Weibel, P.S., and NYK Business Systems Americas Inc. She began her career as an IT professional as a developer with Boeing, and then with Security Pacific Bank.

   Crete Carrier Corp. has appointed Tim Aschoff as president, adding to his current responsibilities as chief operating officer. Aschoff has been with Crete Carrier for 15 years.
   Tonn Ostergard will continue on as chief executive officer, and has now taken the role of board chairman.
   Crete Carrier has also hired Erick Kutter as president of Shaffer Trucking. Kutter was previously president of Knight Refrigerated, and brings over 20 years of experience to the team.

   The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners named Duane Kenagy as the Port of Long Beach’s deputy executive director. Kenagy most recently served as interim chief executive during the search that ended in naming Mario Cordero executive director. Kenagy joined the Long Beach Harbor Department in 2014 as the port’s capital programs executive, and was named interim chief executive on Sept. 21. Before joining the port, he worked for Moffatt & Nichol, and was a key player in the construction of the Alameda Corridor rail project.
