Saddle Creek Logistics Services hires vice president of business development; and FlexiVan appoints president and chief operating officer, and executive vice president and chief commercial officer.
Saddle Creek Logistics Services, a Lakeland, Fla.-based third-party logistics company, hired Charlie Piper as vice president of business development. Piper has more than 25 years of supply chain experience, most recently serving as vice president of business development with integrated supply chain services provider Fidelitone Inc.
Kenilworth, N.J.-based chassis leasing company FlexiVan has appointed Charles Wellins as president and chief operating officer, succeeding George Elkas, who will retire at the end of 2017 after 46 years with the company. Wellins has over 30 years of experience in ocean transportation, logistics and integrated supply chain management.
FlexiVan has also named Greg Moore executive vice president and chief commercial officer, replacing Phil Connors following his retirement. Moore joined FlexiVan in 2015 after a 32-year career with Maersk Line.
