Schenker AG names new head of contract logistics, while Abu Dhabi Terminals appoints CCO.
Tom Schmitt was appointed as a board member of Schenker AG for contract logistics, effective June 15. He is currently president and chief executive officer of the Toronto-based AquaTerra Corp. He also held senior management positions at McKinsey & Co. and was formerly president and CEO for FedEx Global Supply Chain Services. Ewald Kaiser, who was head of contract logistics on an interim basis at Schenker, will return to his focus as a management board member in charge of land transport, the company said.
Abu Dhabi Terminals has appointed Simon Brebner as its new chief commercial officer. Brebner most recently held a similar position at APM Terminals in Bahrain and Morocco. Before that, he served as general manager at Maersk Line in Latin America, as well as general manager at former P&O Nedlloyd in London.
