Schenker AG’s chairman steps down, while ATA appoints new VP and Hansa Heavy Lift raises focus on Asia-Pacific with appointment.
Thomas Lieb will step down as head of DB Schenker Logistics and chairman of Schenker AG, effective March 31. Until the company names his replacement, Lutz Freytag, member of the company’s management board, will take over as interim chairman. Lieb joined Schenker in 1993 and climbed the ranks to become chairman in 2008.
American Trucking Associations has named Mala Krishnamoorti Parker as first vice president for coalitions. She joined ATA having spent time at the National Association of Home Builders. She also served as associate deputy secretary at the U.S. Labor Department and as deputy chief of staff to former Rep. Connie Mack, R-Fla.
Hansa Heavy Lift has appointed Joerg Roehl, who also serves as chief commercial officer, to manage its Asia-Pacific business. He joined the company in 2011 and is based in Singapore.
